deep in the cold and dark corners of bodø norway is a quiet genius, churning out one ‘the REMIX-files’ volume after another…and he’s currently on number 7. he’s donned himself as norway’s finest beatmaker…and you know…i think he’s right. honestly, his soundcloud is a goldmine and i’m having trouble deciding on a single track to post because I desperately feel you need to listen to a few. what he does is really incredible, stripping down tracks completely and building them up around new beats to create an entirely different song is no easy task. while you may occasionally hear a scratch or rift from the original, for the most part, thomax reinvents the song, keeping only the lyrics from the previous version. i know there are remixes and mash-ups, but this is nothing like that.
