the penelopes are a french electronic band based out of paris. this is the first song i’ve heard by them and it has a great dance rock vibe to it. the band is two guys large and they’ve had a decent amount of success touring and playing big festivals and fashion shows. there is a steady piano on the track, some great synths and awesome vocals - it reminds me a lot of phoenix, breakbot, bag raiders, chromeo, etc. i’ve also never really realized that bands remix their own songs - but, it’s cool. sometimes, you realize that you just want to capture a different sound on a track you already love.
