blackalicious frontman and notoriously talented wordsmith, timothy parker, a.k.a gift of gab, is getting ready to release his new ep, the next logical progression. in anticipation, i copped a few listens to the first leak, protocol (feat. samantha kravitz). the beat is soooo buttery smooth and it just. doesn’t. stop….which is perfect because the majority of the track is one lyrical tongue twister after another, spewing ten-cent words and metaphors galore on the new school of mc’s that are on the radio 20 times a day. it’s amazing…and fun.
