everyone knows charlie’s debut album, the notorious xx, which was pure genius. but, he’s also released the nasd out album along with a few mixtapes and tons of free 99 weekly downloads. recently, this track popped up on my soundcloud as a part of his wait what wednesdays giveaway and while it took about a minute for the song to sync up (in my opinion)…when it did…it flooooowed. this track has so much style.
definitely worth a listen, but let it roll for about a minute.

uno hype, another fresh talent out of maryland (gotta love bmore), really came through on this last collaboration with dj black diamond. the album, fxck the hype, is available as a free download here. he’s a brilliant artist, and while all genres evolve, there’s something about this album that just feels true to what i love about hip-hop. for other special tracks of the album check out, destroy me and train of thought.
